1. What are the fundamental characteristics or aspects of mobile computing that sets it apart from other forms of computing (e.g., distributed computing)?

2. Name three similarities between the DARC* mobile grid system, and a heavyweight grid system.

3. Under what circumstances and contexts would you expect the performance of the location-dependent query processing system described to degrade faster than that of other approaches mentioned in the related work? Why?
