Theme: Integrating Cost and Schedule Estimation Models and Metrics
For 2009, the USC Center for Systems and Software Engineering will hold its annual Forum on COCOMO® and Systems/Software Cost Modeling on the MIT campus in Cambridge, MA. Based on our successful 2006 Forum in the Washington DC area, we will hold the Forum on the East Coast in 2009 and every third year thereafter. In 2009, we will focus the Forum theme on Integrating Cost and Schedule Estimation Models and Metrics, based on work we are doing for the Air Force Cost Analysis Agency and the DoD-Stevens-USC Systems Engineering Research Center on updating and integrating systems and software cost models and metrics. We will hold workshops November 2-3 on our work in this area, and on COSYSMO 2.0. and on Software Maintenance.
Related Forum topics include extending and integrating models for aspects such as< schedule estimation, agile methods, COTS integration, value-based approaches, models for addressing software quality and security issues, and risk assessment. We would like to encourage submissions in these and other systems and software estimation related areas as well, including tool demonstration proposals.
